Meet the selection criteria

Selection Criteria

Registered Nurse with a current state practicing certificate (endorsed midwife)
Less than one year clinical experience in Midwifery care
Demonstrate an understanding of commitment to successfully complete the program

 Duration of the Program

52 weeks program will consist of planned maternity care placements across the continuum of pregnancy, Early parenting period and Special Care Nursery
Full time or Part time positions available

Leave Entitlements

Total five (5) weeks (part time employee).
Leave negotiated with Team Leader.
Rostering
Graduates will be eligible to self roster.

Employment Status

Participants will be employed on a 12-month contract
Rates of pay will be negotiated in accordance with the Registered Nurses Award
Leave other than annual leave/sick leave will be in accordance with the Registered Nurses Award

Night Duty

Graduates will be required to complete at least two weeks of night duty.
