Launch of health check program for Western Health staff

On Monday 14 February 2011, Western Health launched an organisation-wide WorkHealth Checks program for its 5000 staff. Pam Anders, Director of WorkHealth Victoria said the checks had been a great success throughout the state, with an astonishing 66% of all people checked found to have a risk for type 2 diabetes, but given healthy living strategies as a result.
