The maternity service at Sunshine Hospital leads the State in providing continuity of maternity care to all women.
We are a level II integrated Maternity Unit providing pregnancy care, labour and birth, postnatal and in-home care services for pregnant women and their families and we have total obstetric, anaesthetic and paediatric support available at all times.
Our facility includes a high dependency level II, 15 cot Special Care Nursery, Pregnancy Assessment Unit and Breast Feeding Support Services.
We have a number of pregnancy care options available to women in the hospital or if suitable within the local community. Childbirth education and hospital tours are also available.
