Maternity at Sunshine Hospital

We are a level 2 integrated maternity unit providing pregnancy care, labour and birth, postnatal and in home care services for pregnant women and their families and we have total obstetric and anaesthetic support available at all times.

Our facility includes a high dependency level 2 15 bed Special Care Nursery, Pregnancy Assessment Unit and Breast Feeding Centre.

We have a number of pregnancy care options available to women in the hospital or if suitable within the local community. Childbirth education and hospital tours are also available

We are currently developing a caseload option of midwifery care for women to commence in 2007.
