RESEARCH - VOLUNTEERS
The Department of Respiratory & Sleep Disorders Medicine will be seeking volunteers through until mid 2008 for a new drug treatment for Insomnia. The new treatment is being tested for Sleep Maintenance Insomnia (where people have difficulty staying asleep). There are two studies running, one 8-week Trial where volunteers undergo a series of over-night Sleep Studies in the Sleep Laboratory at Western Hospital, and a second 12-month Trial to test the effectiveness of the drug over a longer period of time.
