Grade 1 staff members are employed with a home campus of either Sunshine or Western Hospital. The rotations are of four month's duration and there are opportunities to rotate to other campuses including Williamstown.
Consequently, there is a great range of rotations potentially available to Grade 1 staff from acute rotations, such as intensive
care to rehabilitation including home-based rehabilitation, hydrotherapy and womens and childrens specialities.
Some Grade 2 staff rotate through different areas to maximise their learning and prepare them for more leadership positions.
Senior clinician and team leader positions are spread across the network and these staff members drive research and
programme development in their respective fields.
There is generous supervision from senior staff and well supported professional development in stream specific areas
as well as service specific areas.
Staff enjoy working at Western Health due to the friendly culture of the departments, the rewarding team work within Allied
Health, the support to continue to learn via professional development and the drive to lead research.
The Physiotherapy department is very social with activities planned at each site as well as functiions that promote team
building across Allied Health.
