Otolaryngology Services

The Department of Otolaryngology / Head and Neck Surgery (Ear, Nose and Throat) provides a comprehensive range of adult and paediatric ENT service across the Western Health Network. There is a general ENT clinic held weekly on Thursday mornings at Western Hospital, a head and neck clinic and paediatric ENT clinics at Sunshine hospital.

With 7 consultants there is a wide range of expertise available, from head and neck cancer surgery requiring complex reconstruction, thyroid and salivary gland surgery, sinonasal surgery and complex ear surgery. Adult in-patient services are concentrated at the Footscary campus and paediatirc services at Sunshine. There is also a large elective surgery caseload at The Williamstown hospital.

The unit also provides a busy emergency service and we welcome the chance to discuss patients on the telephone for advice or prior to admission. Please contact the on-call registrar via switchboard at the Footscray campus.
