Western Health welcomed the State Budget announcement of significant funding for Western Health's capital redevelopment projects.
Western Health is planning to create Melbourne's biggest tertiary teaching hospital and medical centre based on the existing Sunshine Hospital site.
Our vision is for a new deal for health care in the Western suburbs creating better access for patients to high quality, comprehensive health and medical care that is equal to anywhere else in Melbourne. This exciting opportunity will enable Western Health to meet the current and growing health needs of residents in the rapidly changing population of the west.
Western Health has received $73.5m to fund a Teaching, Training and Research Facility, and the development of public radiotherapy services and $14m to fund the Sunbury Day Hospital.
