With an expected strong growth in our diverse catchment over the next ten years, Western Health is further expanding renal dialysis services from a satellite dialysis provider to a Level 3 hub (non transplanting) service over the next three years.
Western Health will be establishing the service with a focus on a self care model which advocates and supports home based therapies. The service will provide care to patients ranging from pre-dialysis, maintenance dialysis, 24 hours acute dialysis treatment, support for home dialysis, training and research opportunities from diagnosis to end of life care.
The changes are set to being on July 1, 2008.
