Western Health operates three emergency departments: one at Footscray [Western Hospital], one at St Albans [Sunshine Hospital]and one at Williamstown [Williamstown Hospital]. They are among the city's busier emergency departments, with lots of interesting research and clinical material. As well as undertaking their research project, students are encouraged to consolidate their clinical skills by spending some of their time in patient contact. This is supported by a series of clinical tutorials and skills tutorials conducted by the senior staff. It is ideal preparation for the semester 9-12 program.
