Speech Pathologists work across all three hospitals of Western Health (Sunshine, Western and Williamstown). Speech Pathologists work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide a service to patients in hospital wards, outpatient clinics and the Community Based Rehabilitation service.
Western Health provides services to a rich and diverse community of people living in the Western suburbs. The Speech Pathology team value and respect cultural, religious and communication differences and work with interpreters, patient's family members and community elders to ensure the quality of our care.
At Western Health the Speech Pathologists in the Department are lead by the Speech Pathology Manager, with clinicians divided into 3 clinical streams, providing services across the 3 hospital campuses:
- Paediatrics
- Acute adults
- Sub-acute adults
Services are generally available - Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 4.30pm.
