Occupational Therapy staff at Western Health work across three sites - Western Hospital, Sunshine Hospital and Williamstown Hospital, with an Occupational Therapy Manager overseeing all of the sites.
Staff work within 5 clinical cohorts, related to their area of practice. These cohorts are:
- Acute care
- Aged care
- Plastics
- Rehabilitation
- Paediatrics
Each cohort is led by a Senior Clinician with specialty skills in the area. Cohort members from all 3 sites meet regularly to review their programs and participate in professional development and quality assurance activities.
Grade one staff complete 6 monthly rotations across the three sites. Western Health offers 15 rotations in clinical areas across the continuum of care to enable staff to develop a broad suite of skills
